This is Hit the Bid, a weekly newsletter helping you navigate the waves of the commodity futures markets.
Markets today are changing fast due to the increased amount of algorithms, electronic trading, and Robinhood traders slinging their stimulus checks. It can be difficult to stay on the right side of the market with fear being pumped into the media by talking heads. Wall Street and the big institutions have been able to capitalize on this while the retail investors suffer the consequences.
Hit the Bid is a weekly update on market trends and levels to help keep you on the right side of the market and manage your risk. These markets include the Equity Indexes, Meats, Grains, Metals, and Energy sectors.
Whether you are an individual speculator or needing to hedge a grain crop, I aim to help you make an informed decision based on how the big money is flowing into the markets on a weekly basis.
Markets
The markets covered are the S&P 500 (ES) Crude Oil (CL) Gold (GC) Live Cattle (LE) Feeder Cattle (GF) and Corn (ZC). These six markets offer both a focused watchlist and diversification across multiple sectors.
Method
I rely on daily and weekly price trends to determine key levels and direction in each market. Levels are simply a line in the sand to potentially open a position that risk can be managed around.
Do your own research, manage your risk, and know your time frame.
